The Ruby grind rock is a bit harder than the blue ceramic we offer. Both are performance wheels and come down to a matter of personal preference.
Premium ceramic grind rocks offer superior grinding performance over conventional grind rocks. They grind cooler and offer extensive grinding life. Ceramic grind rocks only require a light tapping with a shaping stone to knock away built up grinding residue and therefore even moderate shaping is unecessary and will reduce the life of this performance rock.
